The Beauty of Mount Kazbeki, Georgia

The Georgian Mountain songs  was playing while I was noticing beside the military road was still covered high by snow.

“It was one and half meters higher than this” The taxi driver told us.

Alex and I took the taxi to headed up north to Stepantsminda, the center of the Kazbegi Municipality from Gudauri at late morning. At the breakfast we was just realised how the weather was very good with blue sky and we decided to go somewhere.

“Go to Mount Kazbeki”  I  said first! haha

So instead of go snowboarding which we was doing (I was learning) quite intense then it will be switched to a vacation to see Mount Kazbeki from Stepantsminda Village.

It’s cost 50 GEL for taxi to go to Stepantsminda from Gudauri but if anyone coming from Tbilisi, There is a Marshrutka (Mini bus) cost 10 GEL departs roughly in every hour from Didube bus station, the first bus departs at 7 am and the last one at 6 pm. To return to Tbilisi is same schedule.

Just half hour along the snow road, we arrived at Stepantsminda City Center. Said goodbye to the taxi driver and said hi to another guy who immediately popped up in front of us and offered to show us around with his D4D Van for 30 GEL.

“It’s winter and the road is really bad, rough and wet, you can’t walk by yourself “ David, our future guide told us.

We decided to go with him, nothing needed to be too hard just flow with the flow. :D

The road was impassible on feet like David said..

David brought us to Ioane Natlismcemeli, Orthodox Church on the east side of the village which that area is be able to see the nice view of Mount Kazbeki and  Mount Kuro .

After had spent time for a while then David sent us down to the village and we went for a walk around on our own.

We went to another side of the village and came closer to Mount Kabeki but finally encountered with agressive local dog so we didn’t spend long time there.

The Town Scenery was very beautiful..

It was short visit but it’s beautiful. We didn’t go to any restaurant which we was realising after sitting in the mini bus back to Gudauri. The day went easy. Came back home (Like home) and Alex cooked tasty foods. That’s all. :)
